MacBook discounts on new and old models at Amazon
Latest generation MacBooks
Amazon is offering a $100 mail-in-rebate on each of the three new MacBook models that were released earlier this week.
After rebate, the new entry-level 2.0GHz MacBook costs just $994.99, while the 2.16GHz model costs $1194.99. The black 2.16GHz Macbook will cost $1394.99 after rebate, a cost that is below the prior generation black model.
Prior generation MacBooks
Amazon is offering an instant discount as well as a $75 mail in rebate on the prior generation MacBook models dropping the cost by more than $200 on some models.
For example, the prior generation 1.83GHz MacBook costs $919.99 after a $105 instant discount and $75 mail-in-rebate. The 2.0GHz model now costs $1074.99 after the $150 instant discount and $75 mail-in-rebate, a price $224 below it's prior selling price.
There is no longer a $100 rebate on the prior generation 2.0GHz black MacBook model but Amazon is giving a $100.99 instant discount that drops the price to $1399.
Great way to save
If you're interested in making the switch and don't qualify for the education discount from Apple, these deals from Amazon are a great way to save money on the popular MacBook!
